SALVATION ARMY BELL RINGING VOLUNTEERING 2016

We had fun ringing the bell for the Salvation Army at the Spring Kroger at 6060 FM 2920 this evening from 6-9 pm & teaching our kids the joy of giving this holiday season.  We will be there again tomorrow 12/20/16 at same time from 6-9pm.  Stop by for a picture!

HOW TO WIN @ 42

THINK DIFFERENT!  Don’t follow.  I used the @ sign in the title intentionally instead of “at” to reflect the times.  Evolving is hard.  Whether to (in your mind) commit to why something works and not risk too much or try something new so as not to be stale or “left behind” is a tough question that has no real answer day to day.  The FUN should be figuring out the difference:).  There are some norms, regulars & traditions that are part of WHO WE ARE whether human, a country, a region, a state, a city, or a small community and they should be respected and celebrated.  However, changing it up and progress is also part of the balance of LIFE!  There is NO progress without disrupters.  If you disagree, think about every invention EVER.  I’m not saying to disagree for the sake of it.  However, think freely and be BOLD!  Follow when it makes good sense whether it is your idea or not.  At the same time new does not come from copying.  Somehow I feel this makes complete obvious sense to a 22 year old, but not a 42 year old.  Yes, I know, more to lose at 42 monetarily, but think back 40s & 50s somethings…  At 22 you still didn’t want to screw up and start your career with a blemish.  There was something to lose then just like there is something to lose now.  As we age, we tend to think we “walked up hill both ways to school.”  WE DIDN’T!  Contrarians have always and will always create the new frontier and be innovators. They just need to not go personally insane while doing so from all the pressure to conform:).  Joke, kind of;).  Keep pressing!!!

P.S. Unedited (so forgive any typos) during a break between changing twins diapers who cry a lot and sleep MOST of the day.  The babies, not the diapers;)

Get Some More Bosses

The more bosses you have, the easier your life will be. If one of them gives you too much flack, you can always ignore him or her and don’t have to worry because you have so many other bosses with varies styles and opinions who still need you.  This is the major benefit of being an entrepreneur.  Your customers are your bosses.  There is nothing more empowering than firing a customer when you determine that they cost more than they are worth.  It is not something you should look to do, but is nice to have the option to do.  It is like getting your black belt in Karate.  Don’t use it unless you have to, but if you don’t have it, you don’t have the option.  My best advice to you is to not try to be everything to everyone, but rather a really amazing thing to a smaller group of people who you can over deliver for naturally without even feeling like you are trying.

OVERCOMING THE DETOURS DOWN THE GLORIOUS ROAD LESS TRAVELED

speech-one-pager-header

I offer presentations perfect for company meetings, organizational retreats, conferences, special events, churches, and any occasion calling for a key-note speaker.  It is an entertaining, emotionally inspiring, motivating, engagingly interactive & comical story of perseverance, persistence & fortitude along the road less traveled while building one of the nation’s biggest mascot brands and a world wide entertainer.

Success happened by passionately focusing on creating memorable & remarkable moments one laugh at a time. This happened against all odds at the beginning, middle & end of the mascot journey by never giving up and truly over delivering to the customer at every opportunity turning them into a valuable volunteer sales force driving appearance revenues to 4 times that of the average professional mascot & 50 times that from year one to peek. Your employees or members will be left entertained & motivated to achieve their personal best by focusing on how to create special moments for costumers in turn transforming those customers into raving fans!

ORGAN DONATION REGISTRATION BILLBOARDS

billboard-photo

Take 60 seconds and register to be an official organ donor TODAY at donatelifetexas.org or nationally at donatelifeamerica.org. An organ donor named Ian Heidemann saved my father’s life when Paul received the gift of life in the form of a double lung transplant in February 2012. There are 4 of these billboards that went up today around Houston, one of which is in Spanish. They will be rotating to different locations every 4 weeks. This $105k advertising campaign is a joint venture between The Todd Krampitz Foundation and Life Gift, both of which I sit on the board. Over the past 4 years, along with my wife Amy and many of you, we personally raised half of those funds ourselves. I thank you all for contributing! Our efforts have been rewarded. Since getting involved with advocating and speaking for the cause, I have seen the donor registry grow from less than 3 million to 8.5 million. We still have a lot of work to do! If you haven’t already, please register at donatelifetexas.org.

WE ARE ALL STRONGER THAN WE THINK WE ARE!
