In 2020 Robert Boudwin joined Spear Minerals as the CMO & SVP of Sales (a sister company to the production side of the business JBL Energy Partners) which is committed to diversifying retirement planning & creating/preserving generational wealth. He is proud to call himself not only an executive at Spear Minerals, but also a client having been first to purchase property for himself and 2 sets of twin children. In February of 2022 he added being a licensed Real Estate Agent in Texas to his abilities to serve clients looking for Real Property considering himself a “1 SPOT SHOP” for all things Real Estate. As a REALTOR he sells & buys residential houses for individuals & is partnered with Evermark for Commercial Real Estate needs. As a CMO he oversees, strategies & directs all Marketing & Sales efforts for Spear Minerals purchased by clients for investment purposes to diversify a portion away from a volatile market. The Land Portfolio is Subsurface Real Property with Deeds of a fractional ownership of 19,000 acres spread over 4 counties just outside of College Station, TX in the Eagle Ford Shale which monthly passively cash flows (NOW & has been for years) with a 15% tax break on all income with predicted returns to be 10-20% for generations to come & MUCH HIGHER UPSIDE when oil is high like now & predicted by 3rd party financial analysts & academics alike to be at least through 2026 due to shortages world-wide.
For over two decades Robert Boudwin was better known as Houston Rockets mascot “Clutch the Bear,” which was a character he created in 1995. He went into college a double major in Accounting & Management & came out early drafted into the NBA wearing fur. He managed the rebranding of the University of Delaware at the highest levels as a 19 year old. In 2007 Robert was honor by the University of Delaware by receiving the Presidential Citation for Outstanding Achievement. In addition to performing at over 1.5K games and 6K shows for the Rockets across the world in 12 countries (10K+ hrs performing in costume) he served as a content creator in the engagement economy helping to build the Rockets brand through in-game experience, event planning & management, grass roots marketing initiatives, community investment projects, creating an on-line presence & social media strategies widely being recognized as the creative driving force behind the entire Rockets In-Game Experience for over two decades.
In the front office outside of brand managing, he led the annual push to enroll all employees in the 401K Program. As a brand manager for the Rockets he created & built the country’s most successful and profitable mascot program and frequently utilized interactive team asset and personality. After creating programs, sponsorships & shows he marketed & sold the experiences to the public creating the highest mascot revenue in the country by double 2nd place & 4 times the average. As a pioneer on-line & then social media space, Robert grew Clutch’s Facebook following to 146K+ followers which was also twice 2nd place & 20x that of the average mascot following. Some videos topping 100 Million view world-wide helping to grow not only the Rockets Brand, but the entire NBA brand as well bring Robert to perform in China on 10 sperate trips & 11 other countries.
He authored 7 children’s books & was producer of popular school shows reaching over 1.25 million elementary students at over 2,100 shows as well as being a published author for Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inside Basketball. Robert was proud to represent his team, league & country by producing & directing an Armed Forces Entertainment Tour at 6 military bases in Bosnia, Kosovo & England. Boudwin was a 2006 inductee into the Mascot Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility, 2 time NBA Mascot of the Year & a Houston Chronicle Hometown Hero in 2014. In the summer of 2016 Robert opened his own Consulting & Public Speaking Practice with the XFL, University of Houston, Sam Houston Race Park & Nekter Juice being just some of his higher profile repetitive clients.
After rebranding the UH’s Football & Men’s Basketball Game Experience for 2 years in January of, 2020 Robert Hosted & Starred along-side Comedian Kevin Hart in Kevin’s show “What The Fit” Season 3 & continued to be a key player in the launch & operations of the XFL 2.0 until the pandemic. Creating “Sticky Marketing” Content in the Engagement Economy, Providing Exceptional & Remarkable Customer Service thus turning your customer base into your volunteer sales force, Servant Leadership & Perseverance Through Adversity taking an $8/hr job to a $250K+ career are some of his most popular talks and most notable clients include: MENSA World Gathering 2021, Amazon’s Executive Group Final Mile 2020, National Society of Leadership & Success 2019, TEDx Talk 2017, NCAA 2016, Sam Houston Race Park 2017, Harris County Houston Sports Authority 2018-2020.
Philanthropically he is best known for his work with organ donation awareness having run the Houston 1⁄2 Marathon twice in the full Clutch mascot costume promoting the cause that saved his father Paul’s life & served on the Corporate Board of Directors for Life Gift 2014-2022. Both of Robert’s parents are still with us after 53 years of marriage & after celebrating the 10th anniversary of Paul’s double lung transplant were both immediately remanded to a Houston area mental institution after finally going CUCKOO not realizing how hard it would be to parent a 47 year old this long;) Robert also served on 3 separate committees & councils at the United Way having served as the UW Young Leaders Chaired from 2010-2013. He is a member of Leadership Houston Class 36 graduating in 6/18.
